Cleopatra Island (Sedir Island-Cedrae) is located on the 18 km. north of Marmaris. Cleopatra Island is also known as Sedir Island or City Island with the beautiful view of Gökova Bay. Cleopatra Island is famous with its golden sandy beach known as Cleopatra Beach and the ancient city of Cedrae. The remnants of the city walls can be seen. It is famous with its huge beach and ancient theatre ruins. There is an interesting beach on the small bay on the northwest of the island where it is believed that Cleopatra swim here.

Tour Itinerary
To reach the island from Marmaris or Icmeler there is a 12 km drive through pinewoods and farmland to the shores of a small bay where you will be met by Turkish wooden boats will take you on those nice bays. You will have about three ours at the Cleopatra Island. The special ultra white sands on this island were shipped over from Egypt by Antonius for Her Majesty feet.
